Tuesday in Paris...

Our second day in Paris. We took the Metro down to the Louvre Museum area.

We walked to the banks of the Seine.

Where we boarded a hop-on/hop-off bus to tour part of the city....

Looking up the Champs-Éylsées from Place de la Concorde

 The Arc de Triomphe...

After the bus tour, we walked along the river....

Until we reached the Latin Quarter, we were joined by our guide, Jean, by the Statute and Fountain of Saint Michel.

We passed by the "Street of the Cat Who Fishes"

We crossed the river to Notre Dame

The marker in front of Notre Dame, from which all road distances are measured. Our guide told us, if you put your foot on the marker, close your eyes, and wish to return to Paris, your wish will come true!

Inside Notre Dame...

When we left Notre Dame, it had started raining (The only rain of our 2 weeks), so our tour of the Latin Quarter was cut short. We all jumped on a city bus and went to a Perfume Museum:

Students had to smell scented jars and identify the aroma.

After the Perfume Museum, we did some shopping then took the Metro back to the Hotel.

(Note, Internet access in the Zurich airport is the best we've had all week. But we will be boarding our plane soon. So this will be the last update before we return home. I will post more photos over the weekend from home. Jim Halpin)
